Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 9, 2026

1. Information We Collect

SnapCal AI ("we", "our", or "us") collects the following information to provide AI dietary vision services:

  • Meal Images: Photos captured via your camera or uploaded from your photo library strictly for nutrient decomposition and caloric volume estimation.
  • Device and Technical Data: Browser user-agent, operating system, and anonymous IP address for security, abuse detection, and API rate limiting.
  • Local Storage Data: Daily scan counters and subscription verification flags stored locally on your device via HTML5 LocalStorage.

2. Image Processing & Biometric Disclaimer

Your meal photos are transmitted via encrypted TLS/HTTPS connections to serverless functions that invoke enterprise vision APIs (Google Gemini). We do not collect biometric identifiers, facial geometry, or personal health records from your images. Images are processed ephemerally and are not permanently archived or sold to advertising networks.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with vetted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the service:

  • Hosting: Vercel Inc. (serverless edge infrastructure).
  • Payment Processing: Lava.top (secure merchant processing supporting credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay). We never store or handle your credit card numbers.
  • AI Inference: Google Cloud Platform (multimodal vision inference).

4. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

Under the CCPA, California residents are entitled to know that SnapCal does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to request deletion of any telemetry data by emailing support@snapcalpro.com.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

SnapCal is intended solely for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
